VSSC (Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre), ISRO, has released the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME) schedule for the posts of Sub Officer (Advt No. 331, Post No. 1525) and Fireman A (Advt No. 332, Post No. 1529). The PET/DME for shortlisted candidates will be held between 19 August 2026 and 21 August 2026 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, as per the official notice dated 15 July 2026.

What Are PET and DME?
- PET (Physical Efficiency Test): A physical fitness test conducted in two stages for Sub Officer and Fireman A posts.
- Stage 1 PET: 1500-metre run for male candidates and 800-metre run for female candidates.
- Stage 2 PET: Only candidates who qualify Stage 1 proceed to Stage 2, which covers four events — long jump, rope climbing, 100-metre run, and carrying a human dummy using a fireman’s lift.
- DME (Detailed Medical Examination): Conducted only for candidates who qualify both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the PET.

The notice states that detailed call letters will be sent to all shortlisted candidates through email shortly. Candidates should keep checking their registered email for the individual call letter.

- Report at the respective venue by 08:00 AM on your scheduled PET and DME dates.
- Stage 2 PET events are conducted only for candidates who qualify Stage 1 PET.
- DME is conducted only for candidates who qualify both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of PET.
- Watch your registered email for the detailed individual call letter, which VSSC has stated will be sent shortly to all shortlisted candidates.
- Carry all documents mentioned in your individual call letter once received.
