Eligibility Criteria
- Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the advertised posts.
- The candidate must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha (village) or urban Ward for which she is applying for the Anganwadi Karyakatri post.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum qualification: Intermediate (12th) or an equivalent qualification.

Selection Process and Priority Order

The priority order, exactly as listed in the notification, is:
- Widow / legally divorced / abandoned (deserted) woman belonging to a family living below the poverty line (BPL) in the same Gram Sabha/Ward gets the first priority.
- If no such BPL widow/divorced/abandoned woman candidate is found, women belonging to BPL families in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are given priority.
- If no BPL candidate (widow/divorced/abandoned or general) is found, widow/divorced/abandoned women living above the poverty line in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are selected.
- If none of the above are found, women living above the poverty line in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are selected.
- If still no candidate is found as per the above, women from families living above the poverty line in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are selected from the remaining eligible applicants.
For widow candidates, the death certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Adhikari/concerned Nagar Nikay along with the family register copy will be considered valid proof. For divorced/abandoned (deserted) women, a legal order issued by a competent court will be considered valid proof.

Based on the notification, applicants should keep the following documents ready for online upload (self-attested, clear, and legible copies):
- Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets (Intermediate and above, as applicable)
- High School mark sheet/certificate (for date of birth proof)
- Income certificate – issued at the competent authority level as per UP Government Revenue Department (Section-9) Order No. 3959/1-9-11-Raj-9 dated 30.09.2011 (or its amendment)
- Caste certificate (for OBC/SC category claims)

- For divorced/abandoned women: relevant legal order issued by a competent court
Important: Income, residence, and caste certificates must be digitally signed and verified online through the Tehsil. Only certificates issued in the applicant’s own name that can be verified online are valid. The application number and certificate number of these certificates must be entered correctly in the online application; incorrect entries will make the application invalid, and the applicant will be solely responsible for such errors.
Important Rule: One Family, One Post
As per Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated 17 September 2025, two women from the same family cannot be appointed as Anganwadi Karyakatri and Anganwadi Sahayika at the same Anganwadi centre.
