Documents Required for OPSC Assistant Professor Interview
Candidates must bring the following for the Interview Board:
- List of articles/publications (Annexure-I)
- List of books authored and co-authored (Annexure-II)
- Photocopies in 4 sets of the best 4 original publications/articles in which the candidate is only the first or second author
- 4 sets of the best 2 books originally authored/co-authored by the candidate
- A brief synopsis of the doctoral research paper (PhD Thesis) in two pages, in 4 sets (Annexure-III)
- List of participation in National/International Seminar/Workshop (Annexure-IV)
- List of International/National/State-level Award received (Annexure-V)
Any name, roll number, or similar identifying detail may be masked or erased in the above documents, since the interview is an identity-less process.
Original documents to be produced for scrutiny before the interview:
- All original PhD Thesis, Research Publications, and Books
- Original documents regarding participation in National/International Seminars/Workshops
- Original documents regarding International/National/State-level Awards
Candidates are also required to submit documents as per OPSC Notice No. 1306/PSC dated 02.03.2026, available on the Commission’s website, www.opsc.gov.in.

Interview Day Procedure
- Pedagogical Skill test: As per Notice No. 4612/PSC, candidates are to come prepared to present a topic of their choice within 8 to 10 minutes before the Interview Board; a white board will be provided by the Commission. Separately, Notice No. 1306/PSC states that candidates may be asked to take a demo class of a maximum of 7 to 8 minutes on the white board, on a topic chosen by them or assigned by the Board.
- Allotment of Interview Board: Done by draw of lots by each candidate, in the presence of all candidates, for transparency.
- Draw of lots timing: 1st sitting 9.00 AM to 9.30 AM in the Reception Hall; 2nd sitting 1.00 PM to 1.30 PM.
- Candidates who do not report before the closure of the draw of lots will be allotted a Board through a draw of lots conducted by any one of the candidates present.
- Identity-less interview: Personal particulars such as Name, Roll Number, or any information that could reveal a candidate’s identity are not disclosed to the Interview Board. Candidates appear before the Board using a Code Number generated randomly by the system.
Important Instructions
- Candidature of shortlisted candidates is purely provisional and liable for rejection in case of any inadequacy or deficiency found at any stage during or after the selection process.
- Candidature is subject to fulfillment of the terms and conditions laid down in the Advertisement.
- Mere participation in the interview does not reserve any right to selection.
- Candidates should report at the Commission’s office two hours before the scheduled interview time.
