Nainital Bank Specialist Officer Vacancy 2026 (41 Posts)

A total of 41 Specialist Officer vacancies have been notified across Grade/Scale-I, II, and III. The post-wise vacancy and age criteria (as on 01.08.2026) are given below. Note: the number of vacancies is provisional and the Bank may fill vacancies as per its actual requirement.

A candidate can apply for only one post. In case of multiple applications by the same candidate, only the latest valid (completed) application will be retained, and the fee paid for the other registrations will be forfeited.

Nainital Bank Specialist Officer Eligibility Criteria & Qualification

The educational qualification for every post must be full-time and regular, from a University accredited by UGC, or an AICTE-approved institute, or a Board recognized by the Government of India/approved regulatory bodies. Candidates who completed their education through Distance Mode, Open Schooling, Part-Time mode, Correspondence Courses, or Executive MBA mode are not eligible to apply.

Where a university has awarded a CGPA/GPA and no percentage conversion criterion is specified, the percentage shall be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all subjects across all semesters by the aggregate maximum marks in all subjects, irrespective of honours/optional/additional subjects. In case of experience, the relevant experience certificate must specifically mention experience in Banks/NBFCs/FIs/Fintech.

Nainital Bank Specialist Officer Age Limit 2026

Age is reckoned as on 1 August 2026. The minimum and maximum age limits vary by post/grade as shown in the vacancy table above:

  • Grade/Scale-I posts (Risk Officer, HR Officer, IT Officer, Data Scientist/Analyst, Civil Engineer/Architect): 21 to 32 years
  • Grade/Scale-II posts (Manager-Credit, Manager-Law, Manager-Risk, Manager-Company Secretary): 25 to 35 years
  • Manager-Security Officer (Scale-II): Not more than 35 years of age
  • Grade/Scale-III posts (Senior Manager-Credit, Forex, Treasury, Law): 25 to 38 years

Nainital Bank Specialist Officer Application Fee 2026

The fee can be paid online using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets, or UPI. Bank transaction charges for online payment of the application fee will have to be borne by the candidate. The application fee is non-refundable and will not be refunded even if the application is rejected or not considered by the Bank.

Indemnity Bond

On selection, candidates must execute an Indemnity Bond with two sureties before joining as an Officer. For all cadres (Grade/Scale I, II & III), the bond amount is Rs. 3.00 Lakhs for a bond period of 2 years. If a candidate resigns, leaves, or abandons service before completing the specified period, they must indemnify the Bank for the bond costs, charges, and expenses incurred.

Nainital Bank Specialist Officer Selection Process 2026

Selection is based on an Online Written Test followed by a Personal Interview. Candidates who qualify in the online written test will be called for interview, and final selection will be based on performance in both the written test and interview, subject to the candidate being found medically fit for the assignment.

Online Test Pattern

  • The test is conducted only in English.
  • Each question has 5 answer options.
  • Penalty for wrong answer: Yes, 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Though the test duration is 145 minutes, candidates may need to be at the venue for about 4 hours, including time for document verification, logging in, and instructions.

Exam Centres

Candidates have to choose any three centres of their preference and convenience during registration. No request for a change of centre/venue/date/session will be entertained once exercised, and the Bank reserves the right to allot a candidate to a centre other than the one opted for.

How to Apply for Nainital Bank Specialist Officer Recruitment 2026

Candidates can apply online only from 15 August 2026 to 7 September 2026; no other mode of application will be accepted.

  1. Go to the “Career” section of the Bank’s website at www.nainitalbank.bank.in, click “Current Openings” under the Recruitment tab, and click “Apply Online”.
  2. Choose “Click here for New Registration” and enter your Name, Contact details, and Email ID. Note down the system-generated Provisional Registration Number and Password (also sent by Email/SMS).
  3. Use the “Save and Next” facility to fill the form in stages if required, and verify details carefully before final submission.
  4. Upload your scanned Photograph and Signature as per the specifications given in the notification (Photograph: 4.5cm × 3.5cm, 200×230 pixels, 20–50 KB; Signature: 140×60 pixels, 10–20 KB).
  5. Upload your scanned Left Thumb Impression (240×240 pixels, 200 DPI, 20–50 KB) and a handwritten declaration in English on white paper with black ink (800×400 pixels, 200 DPI, 50–100 KB) – text: “I, (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
  6. Fill in all remaining details of the application form and click the Preview tab to verify the entire form before Complete Registration.
  7. Click “Complete Registration” only after confirming that the photograph, signature, and all details are correct, since no changes are possible thereafter.
  8. Click the “Payment” tab and pay the application fee of Rs. 1,500 (including GST) through the available online payment modes.
  9. Click “Submit” and take a printout of the e-Receipt and the completed online application form for future reference.

All particulars mentioned in the online application – Name, Category, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, Email ID, Centre of Examination, etc. – are considered final; no change or modification is allowed after submission.

Nainital Bank Specialist Officer Important Instructions

  • Signature and the handwritten declaration must be in the candidate’s own handwriting and in English only; signatures in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted.
  • Photograph must be a recent passport-style colour picture against a light/white background, without caps, hats, or dark glasses (religious headwear allowed if it does not cover the face).
  • Candidates must produce, in original, a currently valid photo ID proof (PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving License, Voter’s Card, Bank Passbook with photograph, Aadhaar/e-Aadhaar, Employee ID, Bar Council ID, etc.) along with a photocopy at the examination and interview. Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are NOT valid ID proof.
  • The name on the call letter must exactly match the name on the photo ID proof; candidates who have changed their name (e.g., after marriage) must carry the original Gazette notification/marriage certificate/affidavit.
  • Candidates found with an unclear/blurred photo or signature in capital letters on the admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
  • Mobile phones or similar electronic communication devices are strictly prohibited in the examination/interview hall.
  • A candidate is allowed to appear only once in the online examination for a post; multiple appearances will result in cancellation of candidature.
  • Guidelines for scribe/compensatory time are provided for visually impaired candidates and candidates with locomotor disability/cerebral palsy or other specified disabilities under the RPWD Act, 2016, with prescribed certificates (Appendix-I) and undertakings (Appendix-II) as detailed in the official notification.
  • The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable under any circumstances and will not be held in reserve for any future examination or selection.
