Quick Overview – Kerala 3-Year LLB Admission 2026
Important Dates for Kerala 3-Year LLB Admission 2026
Based on the schedule published by CEE Kerala for the Three-Year LLB 2026-27 admission cycle:
What Is the First Phase Centralised Allotment?
The First Phase Centralised Allotment is the initial round of seat allotment under CEE Kerala’s Single Window System (SWS) for the Three-Year LLB programme. It is prepared based on two things:
- The candidate’s rank in the official Three-Year LLB rank list published by CEE Kerala.
- The online college/course options registered by the candidate during the option registration window.
Candidates whose results were withheld at the time of allotment, or who did not confirm/register options within the deadline, are not considered for this round. This pattern has been consistent in CEE Kerala’s LLB allotment notifications in previous admission cycles as well.
Participating Law Colleges
The Centralised Allotment Process for the Three-Year LLB programme covers:
- 4 Government Law Colleges in Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Thrissur, based on past admission cycles).
- Government merit seats in private self-financing law colleges across the state – approximately 16 to 20 colleges, depending on the year and subject to fresh Government sanction, university affiliation renewal, and Bar Council of India accreditation for each academic year.
Application/ Option Registration Fee
Key Fee Rules (as per CEE Kerala Prospectus)
- The option registration fee must be paid online to CEE before registering college/course options.
- Once paid, the fee category/amount cannot be changed under any circumstance.
- If a candidate does not receive any seat allotment, the fee is refunded.
- If a candidate is allotted a seat but does not join within the stipulated time, the fee is treated as a penalty and is not refunded.
- If a candidate joins and later quits the seat, the fee is treated as a penalty and is not refunded.

- Only one online application is permitted per candidate for the Three-Year LLB programme.
- Defect memos, if issued, are communicated only through the Candidate Portal and via SMS – not by post.
- Allotment of Government merit seats in private self-financing law colleges is subject to Government approval, university affiliation renewal, and Bar Council of India accreditation for the academic year.
- Candidates who do not report/join within the stipulated time may lose their current allotment as well as consideration for higher-order options in subsequent rounds.
- Candidates with SC/ST reservation claims under scrutiny may be provisionally considered for allotment, subject to final verification of caste status, based on CEE Kerala’s standard practice in past admission notifications.
What Happens After the First Phase Allotment?
After the First Phase Allotment, CEE Kerala typically opens an option confirmation/rearrangement window for candidates who wish to be considered for a Second Phase Allotment – whether they received a seat in Phase 1 or not. Candidates who are satisfied with their First Phase allotment and do not wish to be considered further can simply complete admission formalities at the allotted college. The schedule for further phases, if any, will be notified separately on the official website.
