The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the counselling schedule for the second round of UGCET 2026 and the first round of UGNEET 2026 through its circular dated August 7, 2026. The schedule covers admissions to engineering, agriculture, veterinary, pharmacy, nursing, allied health and other UGCET courses, along with medical and dental courses under UGNEET. Candidates can check the seat matrix and enter, modify or reorder their choices during the specified option-entry window. The provisional seat allotment results for both rounds are scheduled to be released on August 19, 2026, after 10:00 AM.

What Is Being Allotted in This Round?
- UGCET 2026 – Second Round: Applies to Engineering, Architecture, Agricultural Science, Veterinary, Pharmacy, B.Sc (Nursing), Yoga & Naturopathy, BPT, BPO, and Allied Health Sciences courses.
- UGNEET 2026 – First Round: Applies to Medical and Dental courses (MBBS/BDS-type seats under NEET), and this is the first allotment round for these courses.
Option Entry/ Choice Filling Process
Eligible candidates can add, modify, delete, or re-order their options for Engineering, Farm Science, Veterinary, and related UGCET courses during the option entry window: 7:00 PM on 07-08-2026 to 9:00 AM on 13-08-2026.
Candidates can also include Pharmacy, Medical, and Dental options during the same window, but only after downloading the verification slip.
Choice Rules Explained (Choice-1 to Choice-4)
For UGCET Courses (Second Round)
For UGCET courses such as Engineering, Architecture, Agricultural Science, Veterinary, Pharmacy, B.Sc (Nursing), Yoga & Naturopathy, BPT, BPO, and Allied Health Sciences, candidates can opt for Choice-1 or Choice-4 after the second round seat allotment results are published.
- Choice-2 and Choice-3 are not available to UGCET course candidates in this round.
- Candidates who select Choice-1, pay the fee, and report to the allotted college will be permitted to participate in the third round of seat allotment, based on agreement and subject to conditions.
For UGNEET Courses (First Round)
Since this is the first round for UGNEET (Medical/Dental) courses, all four choices (Choice-1 to Choice-4) are available to candidates.
Surrendering a First-Round Allotted Seat (Choice-1, Choice-2)
Candidates who wish to surrender a seat allotted to them in the first round (under Choice-1 or Choice-2) must do so in person at the KEA office in Bengaluru on or before 11:00 AM on 13-08-2026. A penalty will be applicable as per KEA rules for such surrenders.
Required Steps / Documents
- Candidates must download the verification slip before they can add Pharmacy, Medical, or Dental options during option entry.
- Candidates surrendering a seat must visit the KEA office in Bengaluru in person; the notification does not specify additional documents for surrender – candidates should carry standard counselling documents and check the KEA website for confirmation.
