  • A minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English Shorthand/Stenography
  • Proficiency in the use of computers

Candidates holding a Diploma in Commercial Practice (DCP) or Diploma in Commercial and Computer Practice (DCCP), along with an Apprenticeship Training Certificate issued by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (Apprenticeship Act 1961), will have this considered equivalent to one year of Steno-Typist/Stenographer experience.

CGPA/Percentage Reckoning Rules

  • Where a University’s Degree Certificate or Consolidated Mark-sheet mentions both CGPA and percentage, at least one of the two criteria must meet ISRO/DOS eligibility norms.
  • Where only CGPA is mentioned, the CGPA itself must meet ISRO/DOS eligibility criteria; conversion of CGPA to percentage is not permitted for determining eligibility, regardless of any conversion formula prescribed by the University.
  • For Dual/Integrated Degree Programmes, if CGPA/percentage for Graduation and Post-Graduation are mentioned separately, the Graduation-level figure is reckoned.
  • If a common CGPA/percentage is given for the entire Dual/Integrated Degree course, that combined figure is used for eligibility.
  • Where no CGPA/percentage formula is prescribed for a Dual/Integrated Degree, the cumulative CGPA/percentage as per the Final/Consolidated Mark Sheet applies.
  • These rules apply uniformly irrespective of whether the University prescribes a conversion formula.
