Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the essential educational qualifications and experience prescribed for each post as on the last date of application submission. The post-wise qualification details are given below.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit prescribed for each post, along with applicable category-wise relaxation, is detailed below.
Note: As per the official notification, age relaxation of 3 years is applicable to OBC (NCL) candidates and 5 years to SC/ST candidates, only where the post is reserved for that category. Age relaxation to PwD candidates and Ex-servicemen is applicable as per government rules. Regular IIT employees who are educationally qualified may get relaxation up to a maximum of 50 years for direct recruitment across the IIT system.

Pay and Allowances (Salary)
The selected candidates will be placed in the following pay levels as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) matrix, along with allowances admissible as per Institute/Central Government norms:
- Chief Medical Officer: Pay Level-13
- Project Engineer & Estate Officer/Executive Engineer: Pay Level-11
- Medical Officer: Pay Level-10
- Technical Officer: Pay Level-10
- Junior Superintendent: Pay Level-06
- Junior Library Information Assistant: Pay Level-04
Selection Process
As per the official notification, the selection process for IIT Mandi Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 may include:
- Screening/shortlisting of applications based on qualifications and experience (the Institute reserves the right to shortlist based on criteria higher than the minimum eligibility).
