Candidates must fulfill the minimum qualifications and parameters specified by IIM Mumbai:
Educational Qualification
- Management Trainee: Master’s degree in the relevant area with 60% marks or above, or a B.Tech or equivalent professional degree from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates pursuing or intending to pursue doctoral (Ph.D.) studies.
- Management Trainee (Admin): Master’s degree with 60% marks or above, or a B.Tech or equivalent professional degree from a recognized institution. Preference to Ph.D. pursuing/intending candidates.
- Experience (Both Posts): Prior experience in higher education institutions, EdTech organizations, academic research, admissions, counselling, or student support services will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, internet applications, and ERP systems.
- Good command over written and spoken English and Hindi.
- Ability to multitask, work under timelines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Adaptability and flexibility during examinations and institutional events.
Age Limit & General Conditions
Maximum Age: 32 years; extendable up to 35 years for Ph.D. candidates or candidates with relevant experience. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per Central Government rules.
Working Hours: 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM, 6 days a week (Sunday off). Candidates may be required to work beyond office hours or on holidays as per Institute need without extra remuneration.
Other Conditions: Only Indian citizens are eligible. No campus accommodation will be provided. No TA/DA for attending the selection process. No rounding off of percentage marks is allowed.

The evaluation process involves multiple stages as decided by the Competent Authority:
- Initial Screening: Shortlisting based on qualifications and experience. Mere eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting.
- Evaluation Phase: Selection may include a Written Test, Skill/Competency Test, and/or Personal Interview, or any other mode of assessment as deemed appropriate.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce all original certificates at the time of the final selection process.
