Answer Key & Marking Scheme (Paper-1 Gujarati & Paper-2 English)

As per the Final Answer Key of Paper-1 (Gujarati Language) and Paper-2 (English Language), evaluation was done as follows:

  • +1.000 mark for every correct answer
  • -0.300 mark for every wrong answer, multiple-encoded answer, or blank answer

Cut-Off Marks 2026

The notification lists the following cut-off marks. Beyond item 9 (which is explicitly broken down by Group A, Group B, and Group D), the notification does not attach a category label to each numbered cut-off, so the figures are reproduced here exactly as published, in the same order.

Reservation, MRC Candidates & Women Reservation Details

Meritorious Reserved Category (MRC) Candidates

As per G.A.D. Circular No. PVS-1099-MM-13-G4 dated 29/01/2000, PVS-2010-03-900-G4 dated 23/07/2004, and PVS-102019-221-G4 dated 07/02/2019, reserved category candidates who scored equal to or more than the general qualifying standard, and did not avail any age/qualifying relaxation at any stage, are selected against unreserved posts as Meritorious Reserved Category (MRC) candidates. A total of 36 MRC candidates have been recommended for appointment on unreserved posts:

The following MRC candidates (Roll Nos. 106036879, 108044721, 117084503, 119100096 and 120102785) have been allocated a seat in their own category instead, due to a better preference.

Women Reservation

As per the applicable G.A.D. notifications/circulars (dated 09/04/1997, 22/05/1997, 14/06/2012, 11/11/2014, and 10/06/2019) and GPSC’s Office Order dated 20-09-2025, 35 women candidates were required to be selected. Against this requirement, 39 women candidates have been selected.

Persons with Disability (PwD)

The number of candidates selected from the Persons with Disability category has been decided as per GAD Resolution No. CRR-102017-122639-G-2 dated 20-11-2024 and GPSC Office Orders dated 04-07-2025 and 20-09-2025.

Bonus (Grace) Marks

  • Widow candidates: As per Circular No. CRR-1096-2213-G.2 dated 31.08.2004, widow candidates receive bonus marks equal to 5% of the marks obtained by them.
  • Sports quota candidates: As per Government Resolution No. CRR-1077-2660-G.2 dated 25.02.1980, candidates with a sports qualification receive bonus marks equal to 5% of the marks obtained by them.

Equal Marks Tie-Breaking Rule

In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks, merit is decided on the basis of date of birth – preference is given to the elder candidate.

Common Paper Rule for Candidates in Multiple Advertisements

Paper-1 (Gujarati Language) and Paper-2 (English Language) of the Main Examination for Advertisement Nos. 67,127/2024-25 and 08/2025-26 were held together for all candidates on 22 February 2026. Following a notice published on 10 February 2026, candidates registered under more than one of these advertisements could submit a Self-Declaration so that their marks in these common papers are considered across all the relevant advertisements.

  • Mere success in the examination does not confer any right to appointment. No candidate will be appointed unless the Government, after necessary inquiries, is satisfied that the candidate is suitable in all respects for the post.
