CRPF Tradesman Selection Process 2026 is a comprehensive 7-stage recruitment drive by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for Constable (Technical & Tradesmen and Pioneer) posts. It tests candidates on physical fitness, knowledge, trade skills, documentation, and medical standards. The final merit is prepared primarily on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT) marks for those who qualify all stages.
CRPF Tradesman Selection Process 2026 Overview
Stage 1 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is the first qualifying stage in the CRPF Tradesman Selection Process 2026. Candidates must complete a race within the given time limit based on their trade and gender. This test checks the candidate’s stamina and physical endurance. Those who fail PET are eliminated immediately and cannot proceed further.
Stage 2 – Physical Standard Test (PST)
Physical Standard Test (PST) is conducted after PET. In this stage, officials measure height, chest (for males), and weight as per CRPF standards. Relaxations are provided for Scheduled Tribes, North-Eastern, and Hill Area candidates. Candidates failing to meet the required measurements are disqualified.
Stage 3 – Computer Based Test (CBT)

Stage 4 – Trade Test / Skill Test

Those who secure minimum qualifying marks only proceed further.
Stage 5 – Document Verification (DV)
Document Verification (DV) is a crucial mandatory stage in the CRPF Tradesman Selection Process 2026. Candidates who qualify previous stages must present all original documents for verification. Any discrepancy or fake document leads to immediate disqualification.
Stage 6 – Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
Detailed Medical Examination (DME) checks the overall medical fitness of candidates as per CRPF standards. It includes eyesight, hearing, blood pressure, chest, limbs, and general health tests. Candidates found medically unfit are rejected.
Stage 7 – Review Medical Examination (RME)
