The High Court at Calcutta (Appellate Side) has issued Notification No. 3218-R(R&M), dated 10 July 2026, announcing the schedule for the Computer Proficiency Test and Interview/Viva-voce (Phase II) for the recruitment of Translator on a purely contractual basis. The tests will be held over three days – 20, 21, and 22 July 2026 – through video conferencing. This round applies only to the 70 candidates who qualified in List-2 of the Court’s earlier Notification No. 3179-R(R&M) dated 08.07.2026.

Candidates should note that each of the 70 qualified candidates has been assigned one specific date among 20, 21, or 22 July 2026 in their individual Call Letter – not all candidates test on all three days.

Call Letter Details
- Call Letters are being sent by Speed Post to all 70 qualified candidates from List-2.
- Call Letters will also be sent by email, if the candidate has provided an email address.
- If a candidate does not receive the postal Call Letter within the scheduled date, they may bring a colour printout of the Call Letter received via email.
Documents Required
Candidates must carry the following documents in original, without which they will not be allowed to appear for the Computer Proficiency Test and Interview/Viva-voce:
- Admit Card of the Written Test (Phase I)
- Call Letter of Computer Proficiency Test and Interview/Viva-voce (Phase II)
- One valid Photo Identity Proof – Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, or Passport
Important Instructions
- Candidates must appear strictly on the date mentioned in their individual Call Letter.
- Original documents (Admit Card, Call Letter, and Photo ID) are mandatory for entry.
- No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid at any stage of this selection process.
- Candidates are advised to regularly check the official Calcutta High Court website for further announcements.
How to Attend the Computer Proficiency Test & Interview
This is not an “apply online” stage – applications for the Translator post have already closed in an earlier phase. For Phase II, shortlisted candidates need to:
- Check their Call Letter (received by Speed Post or email) for their assigned date among 20, 21, or 22 July 2026.
- Report at the Committee Clerks’ Department, Main Building, 1st Floor, High Court at Calcutta by 2:00 P.M. sharp on their assigned date.
- Carry the Admit Card (Phase I), Call Letter (Phase II), and a valid original Photo ID Proof.
- Proceed to the Video Conference Room, 1st Floor, Main Building, for the Computer Proficiency Test and Interview/Viva-voce, which begins from 2:30 P.M. onwards.
