The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) has released the official counselling schedule for admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) degree course for the Academic Year 2026-27. As per the notice published on the official portal, Round 1 registration, payment of fees, and choice filling begin on 18 August 2026 (Tuesday) from 11:00 hrs. This counselling is conducted for admission to 858 seats available under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) in recognised Veterinary Colleges across India, based on the NEET (UG) 2026 merit list. The remaining 85% of seats are filled through respective state counselling authorities.

How to Apply: VCI Counselling 2026 Registration Process
- Visit the official website:vci.admissions.nic.in.
- Click on the “Online Counseling” button and select “OK” to proceed.
- Register using the same email address and mobile number submitted in the NEET (UG) 2026 application form to NTA.
- Complete the online registration form with personal, academic, and category details.
- Pay the applicable non-refundable registration fee via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
- Fill in your college and course preferences and arrange them in order of priority.
- Lock your choices before the deadline – choices can be reordered any number of times before locking, but cannot be changed once locked.
- Download and keep a printout of the locked choice list for future reference.
- Check the seat allotment result on the portal on the notified result date and download the Provisional Allotment Letter, if allotted.
- Report to the allotted Veterinary College within the reporting window with all original documents.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Mere registration on the VCI portal does not guarantee a seat.
- The Veterinary Council of India does not allot seats on a nomination or manual basis.
- No individual intimation regarding counselling will be sent to candidates – they must check the official website regularly.
- Candidates should read the full Information Bulletin before registering.
- Fee structures for private veterinary colleges are decided by the respective State Government or University/College and not by VCI; candidates should confirm fee details before choosing private colleges.
- All disputes relating to the counselling and seat allotment fall under the legal jurisdiction of Delhi only, and must be raised within 30 days of seat allotment.
