How to Prepare for APSC VO/BVO Exam 2026

Start with the two-paper structure: build a separate study plan for Paper I (General Studies) and Paper II (Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science), since both carry equal marks.

For Paper II, revise Basic and Production subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, Genetics & Breeding, Poultry Science) alongside Clinical and Para Clinical subjects (Medicine, Surgery, Pathology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Pharmacology) using standard veterinary science textbooks used in BVSc & AH coursework.

For Paper I, keep a daily current affairs routine covering national, international and Assam-specific events, along with Indian Economy, Polity and Assam Animal Husbandry schemes.

Practice Reasoning and Aptitude questions regularly since this is a distinct topic within Paper I.

Since the number of questions and negative marking are not specified, attempt previous APSC screening test papers (of similar veterinary/technical posts, if available) to get familiar with the OMR-based objective format.
