The Office of the District Programme Officer, Kanpur Nagar (Anganwadi Sahayika Recruitment, commonly searched as Kanpur Anganwadi Bharti) has released a notification inviting online applications for the post of Anganwadi Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper) against 307 vacant posts across the urban and rural Anganwadi projects of Kanpur Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh.
The recruitment is being conducted through direct online recruitment for contractual, honorarium-based (मानदेय) Anganwadi Sahayika posts, as per Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025(1917687) dated 17 September 2025.

Kanpur Anganwadi Sahayika Qualification
The minimum educational qualification for the Anganwadi Sahayika post is Intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent qualification. As per the notification, merit will be prepared taking into account educational qualification up to the postgraduate level, so candidates with higher qualifications (up to postgraduate) may be considered accordingly in the merit process.

Kanpur Anganwadi Sahayika Age Limit
Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 35 years of age. Age will be calculated with reference to 01.07.2026, and only the date of birth recorded in the High School mark sheet/certificate will be considered valid for age verification.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the posts advertised in this notification.
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas) for which she is applying. Applications from candidates belonging to a different Gram Sabha/Ward will not be considered valid.
- As per the notification, two women from the same family will not be appointed as Anganwadi Karyakartri at the same Anganwadi centre (this restriction is specifically stated for the Karyakartri post in the notification).
- Income, residence, and caste certificates must be online-verifiable and issued by the competent authority as specified in the notification (income limit up to ₹46,080 annually for rural area BPL category and up to ₹56,460 annually for urban area BPL category, as per applicable Uttar Pradesh government orders referenced in the notice).

Kanpur Anganwadi Sahayika Selection Process
Selection for Anganwadi Sahayika posts will follow a defined order of priority among eligible candidates from the same Gram Sabha/Ward:
- Category I: Below Poverty Line (BPL) widow → legally divorced/separated woman → other BPL women (in the same Gram Sabha/Ward, in order).
- Category II: Above Poverty Line (APL) widow → legally divorced/separated woman → other APL women (in the same Gram Sabha/Ward, in order, if no eligible candidate is available under Category I).
- Category III: If no eligible candidate is available in the above categories within the same Gram Sabha, category-wise selection will be made from the concerned Nyaya Panchayat.
Court-issued legal orders will be considered valid for verifying divorced/separated status. For widow status, certificates issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned Municipality/Urban local body along with a certified copy of the family register will be considered valid.
