Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) Recruitment 2026 notification has been released on 11 August 2026 on the official websites cochinshipyard.in and udupicsl.com. A total of 31 vacancies have been announced for Assistant Manager, Supervisor, and Workmen posts through the UCSL Recruitment 2026.
Candidates aged up to 30 years for Assistant Manager/Workmen posts and up to 45 years for Supervisor posts, who have the required Degree, Diploma, ITI, SSLC, or other post-wise qualifications with relevant experience, are eligible to apply. The online application process for UCSL Recruitment 2026 has started on 11 August 2026 and will remain open until 01 September 2026.

UCSL Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details
Assistant Manager Vacancy (Ref: UCSL/IMS/HR/VN/F/11-AMs/KCN/92)
*Backlog vacancies. UCSL states that persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) have not been included for these posts as UCSL is engaged in hazardous operations that could put PwBD candidates at serious risk.
Supervisor Vacancy (Ref: UCSL/IMS/HR/VN/F/11-SUP/MEF/93)
*Backlog vacancy. PwBD candidates with Low Vision, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, or One Arm/One Leg/Both Leg/Leprosy Cured (without functional impairment)/Dwarfism/Acid Attack Victims (without other functional disability) may apply for the Supervisor (Finance) post only.
Workmen Vacancy (Ref: UCSL/IMS/HR/VN/F/11-OA/DFT/TEL/SK/68)
PwBD candidates with Low Vision, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, or One Arm/One Leg/Both Leg/Leprosy Cured (without functional impairment)/Dwarfism/Acid Attack Victims (without other functional disability) may apply for Office Assistant, Draftsman (Mechanical), Draftsman (Electrical), and Store Keeper posts.
Across all three notifications, UCSL reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies, or not fill up any of the vacancies, or cancel the recruitment process, as per its requirement.

UCSL Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
Fee must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking (and, for Workmen posts, Wallets/UPI) through the official application facility. No other mode of payment is accepted, and candidature is considered only on receipt of the applicable fee.
UCSL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Assistant Manager
Objective Type Test (50 marks) + Personal Interview (20 marks) + PowerPoint Presentation on work experience (30 marks) = 100 marks total. The Objective Type Test is 60 minutes, 50 MCQs, covering General Knowledge (10 marks) and Subject-based questions (40 marks), with no negative marking. Minimum pass marks: 50% (UR/EWS), 40% (SC/ST for reserved vacancies).
Supervisor
Phase I – Written Test: Objective Type (40 marks) + Descriptive Type (40 marks). Phase II – PowerPoint Presentation on work experience (20 marks). Total 100 marks. The Objective Test’s General section (Part A) covers General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude (5 marks each), plus Discipline-related questions (20 marks). Minimum pass marks: 50% (UR/EWS), 45% (OBC for reserved vacancies), 40% (SC/PwBD).
Office Assistant & Store Keeper
Offline Objective Type Test (70 marks: General 30 + Discipline-related 40) + Descriptive Type Test (Writing Skills, 30 marks) = 100 marks. Only candidates clearing the minimum Objective Test pass mark have their Descriptive answer sheets evaluated.
Draftsman & Technician
Phase I – Offline Objective Type Test (30 marks, 35 minutes, covering General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and Trade-related questions). Phase II – Practical Test in the relevant trade (70 marks). Total 100 marks.
For Workmen posts, minimum pass marks are: 50% (Unreserved), 45% (OBC for reserved vacancies), 40% (PwBD). Across all notifications, shortlisted candidates undergo certificate verification before proceeding to the next stage, and final rank lists are prepared based on aggregate marks, with tie-breakers based on subject/discipline marks and then seniority in age. No TA/DA is paid for attending the selection process.
