All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalagiri (AIIMS Mangalagiri), an Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, has released a notification for recruitment to Faculty (Group-A) posts on Direct Recruitment / Deputation basis. The advertisement was published on the institute website on 11.08.2026 vide notification number AIIMS/MG/Admin/Recruitment/03/Faculty/2026/01.
A total of 79 faculty posts are on offer across four designations – Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor – spread over 33 clinical and pre/para-clinical departments. Eligible Indian citizens, and other citizens permissible under applicable Act/Rules, including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders, can apply. AIIMS Mangalagiri Faculty Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details
Vacancies are distributed across 33 departments and four faculty grades: Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Category-wise breakup (UR: Unreserved, OBC: Other Backward Classes, SC: Scheduled Caste, ST: Scheduled Tribe) is provided for each department.

For the Department of Trauma & Emergency Medicine, the qualifying discipline for the Professor post is MD in Emergency Medicine / MD in Medicine / MS in General Surgery, and for the Assistant Professor post it is MD in Emergency Medicine / MS in General Surgery / Trauma Surgery / MS in Orthopaedics / MD in Paediatrics.
The notification clarifies that the above vacancies are provisional and subject to variation, and the Executive Director, AIIMS Mangalagiri, reserves the right to vary vacancies, including reserved vacancies, as per Government of India rules, circulars, and requirements.

AIIMS Mangalagiri Faculty Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
AIIMS Mangalagiri Faculty Qualification
Qualification requirements differ by post and by candidate category (medical or non-medical). A summary is given below; candidates should refer to the official notification for the complete text applicable to their post and department.
For non-medical candidates, the Master’s degree required is discipline-specific: M.Sc. (Human Anatomy) for Anatomy, M.Sc. (Medical Physiology/Physiology) for Physiology, M.Sc. (Medical Biochemistry/Biochemistry) for Biochemistry, and M.Sc. (Medical Pharmacology/Pharmacology) for Pharmacology, along with a doctorate degree from a recognized university.
Candidates holding a DNB qualification in broad specialties or super-specialty must produce documentary evidence of DNB equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch as per the MCI notification dated 31.10.2018. Depending on the training institution category under that notification, 1 to 2 years of additional experience may be required.
Teaching and/or research experience is counted only from recognized institutions in the subject of speciality; experience in Dental, Physiotherapy, or Nursing colleges is not considered for eligibility. Experience will be counted as on 31st December 2026, subject to verification of documentary evidence.
AIIMS Mangalagiri Faculty Age Limit
Age relaxation is available as follows: 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, 5 years for SC/ST post-reserved candidates, 3 years for OBC post-reserved candidates, and 5 years for Government servants as per DoPT instructions. No age relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates applying against unreserved vacancies. For deputation applicants, the maximum age is 56 years for posts other than Professor and 58 years for the post of Professor, as on the last date of receipt of application. Note: Reservation does not apply to posts filled on a deputation basis.

AIIMS Mangalagiri Faculty Recruitment 2026 Salary
Selected candidates will be placed in the Pay Matrix levels notified by the MoH&FW (INI-I Section), Government of India, vide Letter No. V-16020/28/2017-INI-I (Pt.), dated 23rd August 2018.
All posts also carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government employees of similar status at AIIMS, Mangalagiri.
AIIMS Mangalagiri Faculty Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
The application fee, once remitted, shall not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post must apply separately online for each post and pay the application fee separately for each application. The mode of fee payment is online, as per the payment gateway on the application portal.
AIIMS Mangalagiri Faculty Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
A duly constituted Standing Selection Committee will conduct the selection process for all posts. Interviews will be held at AIIMS Mangalagiri in a mode decided by the Executive Director. Candidates called for interview must produce all relevant original documents for verification and may be asked to submit an affidavit or declaration as decided by the institute.
After document verification, the Standing Selection Committee will conduct the interview/selection process only for eligible candidates against the post applied for. Mere appearance in the interview does not confer any right to selection. Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks (suitability standard) shown below to be considered for empanelment in order of merit.
Candidates not scoring the minimum qualifying marks/suitability standard will not be considered for selection, irrespective of their merit position. No TA/DA is payable for appearing in the interview, and appointment is subject to the candidate being declared medically fit by the competent Medical Board.

AIIMS Mangalagiri Faculty Apply Online
Applications can be submitted only through online mode on the AIIMS Mangalagiri website (www.aiimsmangalagiri.edu.in), where online registration will be available shortly. Candidates must fill in the online application form as per the procedure given on the institute’s online application portal and take a printout of the submitted form.
- Visit the official AIIMS Mangalagiri website and access the online application portal once it opens.
- Keep a valid e-mail ID, a scanned passport-size photograph (JPG format), and a scanned signature (JPG format) ready before starting the form.
- Fill in the online application form and make the online payment of the applicable application fee.
- Submit the form and take a printout of the completed online application.
- Send the signed hard copy of the application, along with self-attested copies of all required certificates/documents, by Speed Post/Courier to the Recruitment Cell within 10 days from the closing date of online applications. Applications not received in hard copy within this period will not be considered.
- Superscribe the envelope with “Application for the post of ___________ in the Department of ___________”.
