The prelims exam for the Assistant Professor (GDC) recruitment was conducted for 28 subjects on 31 May 2026. The Commission has so far released results for 5 subjects. Registered, present, and qualified candidate figures for these subjects are given below.
The official notice states that in certain categories, the number of available candidates was less than the prescribed number because some candidates did not obtain the minimum qualifying standard fixed by the Commission.

- Go to the “What’s New” or “Result” section on the homepage.
- Click on the link related to Advt. No. A-7/E-1/2025 (Assistant Professor, Government Degree College).
- Select the subject-wise PDF (Chemistry, Economics, Geography, History, or Military Science).
- The result opens as a PDF containing roll numbers of provisionally qualified candidates.

UPPSC Assistant Professor Selection Process
Based on the official notice, the selection process for this recruitment consists of the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination – screening stage; result declared subject-wise.
- Main Examination – candidates provisionally qualified in prelims will be eligible to apply online for the Mains exam. The Mains schedule and application process will be announced through a separate press notice.

Important Instructions for Candidates
- The result declared is provisional in nature.
- The result of female candidates domiciled outside Uttar Pradesh is subject to the final order and judgment of the Hon’ble High Court in Special Appeal No. 475(D) of 2019.
- The above result is also subject to the final order and judgment of the Hon’ble High Court in Special Appeal No. 233/2026.
- Marks/cut-off scores of candidates will be made available on the Commission’s website only after the final selection result is declared.
- No representation regarding this result will be entertained under the Right to Information Act, 2005.
- A separate press notice will be issued for the Mains exam schedule and the online application process for qualified candidates.
