TNEA 2026 Counselling Stages

TNEA counselling for each round generally follows these stages:

1. Choice Filling: Candidates log in and enter their preferred colleges and courses in order of preference.
2. Tentative Allotment: DoTE releases a provisional seat match based on rank, category, and choices filled.
3. Confirmation of Tentative Allotment: Candidates confirm their decision – Accept and Join, Accept and Upward, or Decline and Upward.
4. Provisional Allotment: Based on confirmation, the final provisional allotment for that round is released.
5. Reporting/Joining: Candidates report to the allotted college or TNEA Facilitation Centre (TFC) as applicable, within the given deadline.
