Candidates must fulfill the minimum qualifications and parameters specified by SAI:
Service Eligibility
- Option A: Officers working under Central Government/State Governments/Union Territory Administrations holding an analogous post in their parent cadre/department.
- Option B: Officers with at least 6 years of regular service in Level-5, Rs. 25,500–81,100 (Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200–20200 + Rs. 2800/- Grade Pay).
Essential Qualification
- Option A: Diploma in Coaching from SAI NS NIS, Patiala or equivalent (as defined by SAI) or from any other recognised Indian/Foreign University/Institute.
- Option B: Participation in Olympics/Paralympics/Asian Games/World Championship or equivalent (as defined by SAI) with a certificate course in Coaching.
- Option C: Dronacharya Awardee.
- Option D: As defined by the governing body of SAI in respect of sports quota recruits.
Age Limit & Posting Details
Maximum Age: Not exceeding 56 years as on the opening date of receipt of application.
Place of Posting: All-India basis at centres where SAI schemes are being implemented.

The selection process is as follows:
- Eligibility Screening: Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be called for interview.
- Merit List: Final selection will be made on the basis of a merit list prepared by the Selection Committee of the Competent Authority.

- Download the prescribed application format (Annexure-I / CV Proforma) from the official SAI website: www.sportsauthorityofindia.nic.in.
- Fill out the application completely and attach attested copies of certificates for age, qualifications, and experience.
- Enclose the last 5 years’ ACRs/APARs duly attested on each page by an officer of Under Secretary rank or above.
