- Fill in the Bio-Data form completely – include post applied for, date of birth, qualifications, CDC/Passport/INDOS details, and full experience history.
- Attach self-attested photocopies of all required certificates (COC, CDC, Passport, INDOS, STCW 2010, Mark Sheets, Caste Certificate as applicable).
- Send the soft copy of your Bio-Data and all documents to [email protected] on or before 17th June 2026 by 15:00 hours.

DCI Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
What is the Qualification for DCI Trainee Marine Engineer 2026?
Candidates must have completed a 4-year Degree in Marine Engineering from any IMU-affiliated college / DG Shipping approved institute / State or Central Government recognised institute / AICTE-approved institute. Candidates holding a Graduate Marine Engineering certificate after completing a 4-year Engineering Degree are also eligible. Candidates who already hold or are about to obtain MEO Class IV COC are not eligible for TME.
What is the Qualification for DCI Trainee Electrical Officer (TELO) 2026?
Candidates must hold a 4-year Degree in one of the following disciplines from a State/Central Government or AICTE recognised institute:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication Engineering
- Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
Additionally, candidates must have completed a 4-month Electro Technical Officer (ETO) course from a DG Shipping approved institute and possess basic STCW 2010 certificates.
What is the Qualification for NCV Trainee (NCV(T)) 2026?
Candidates must have passed SSC / 10th Class from a recognised education board AND completed a Pre-Sea GP Rating course, passing the Exit Examination approved by DG Shipping with a minimum 60% aggregate marks. Age must be less than 25 years as on the date of joining on board.

DCI Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
Fleet Personnel Selection
Fleet Personnel candidates will be selected based solely on their Interview performance. The minimum qualifying score is 50 marks out of 100.
Trainee Marine Engineer & TELO Selection
Selection is based on a combined score of 100 marks:
- 80% weightage – Marks obtained in prescribed qualification
- 20% weightage – Interview performance
- Minimum cut-off: 50% in each component separately (i.e., 40/80 in qualification + 10/20 in interview)
For GME candidates, the percentage is calculated based on the 4-year Engineering Degree marks.
NCV Trainee (NCV(T)) Selection
Selection is based on marks (no interview):
- 50% weightage – SSC / 10th Class marks
- 50% weightage – GPR Exit Examination marks
