A total of 121 vacancies have been announced for the post of Lecturer (Special Education) under Rajasthan’s Secondary Education Department. Vacancies are distributed category-wise including General (UR), SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS with horizontal reservations for Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PH), and other special categories. The number of vacancies may be revised (increased or decreased) as per departmental requirement. Reservation benefits apply only to bonafide residents of Rajasthan State.
RPSC 1st Grade Special Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of online application i.e. 30-06-2026. Prior/provisional registration with RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) before the date of examination is mandatory. Applicants must be permanently/provisionally registered with RCI before the date of recruitment examination and must provide their RCI registration number while applying. RPSC 1st Grade Special Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit
Minimum age: 21 years and Maximum age: 40 years as on 01-01-2027. Since the post is being filled under Madhyamik Shiksha Vibhag (Class 1-II) as per prevailing rules effective 12.11.2025, no additional age relaxation of 03 years (under Rule 16(ix) of Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services (Direct Recruitment) Rules) is applicable. Maximum age limit for any candidate (including all relaxations) shall not exceed 52 years (per Rajasthan rules). Age relaxation is non-cumulative — only one of the applicable relaxations (whichever is highest) will apply.

Application fee (Ekabari Panjeeyan Shulk) is to be paid online and is non-refundable. The Ekabari Panjeeyan Shulk once paid is OTR-based (One Time Registration). Candidates from other states belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS must pay General category fee. Important: If a candidate is absent in 02 or more recruitment examinations conducted during 01 April to 31 March, the online application facility will be blocked for future examinations. RPSC 1st Grade Special Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
Selection for Lecturer (Special Education) posts will be made through a Competitive Written Examination of 450 marks. If required, the Commission may adopt re-scaling/moderation/normalization procedures. Candidates scoring the required qualifying marks will be recommended in merit order as per Madhyamik Shiksha Seva Niyam Rule 28. Negative marking applies — 1/3rd marks deducted for every wrong answer. SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks (40% threshold relaxed to 35%).
Stage 1 – Written Competitive Examination (Computer Based / OMR)
Minimum qualifying marks: 40% in each paper (relaxed to 35% for SC/ST of Rajasthan). Negative marking: 1/3rd marks deducted per wrong answer. OMR Answer Sheet instructions: darken only one circle per question using Blue Ball Point Pen; if no option is attempted, darken circle ‘5’; a candidate who has not darkened any circle in more than 10% of questions shall be disqualified. Important Instructions for RPSC 1st Grade Special Teacher Recruitment 2026 Candidates
- Candidates must be permanently/provisionally registered with RCI before the date of recruitment examination — RCI registration number is mandatory in the online application.
- OTR (One Time Registration) on SSO Portal is mandatory before applying. Details in OTR (Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Gender) must match Aadhaar/Janaadhar and cannot be changed post-OTR without Aadhaar correction.
- The application once submitted is final. Any correction in the online application can only be made online within 10 days of the closing date by paying Rs. 500/- (correction fee is non-refundable and no further correction will be accepted after this window).
